Kinetry Cookie Policy

Effective: July 20, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Kalgren Consulting LLC, doing business as Kinetry ("Kinetry," "Company," "we," or "us"), uses cookies and similar technologies on the Kinetry website and application (the "Service"). It is a companion to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Kinetry serves business customers in the United States only.

We keep this short on purpose. Kinetry uses only a small number of strictly necessary and diagnostic technologies, plus one first-party analytics cookie that records how a visitor first reached our site. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party ad or tracking pixels, or any technology that profiles you or follows you across other websites, and we do not sell or share your personal information.

1. What cookies and similar technologies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. "Similar technologies" include tokens, local browser storage, and diagnostic beacons that perform comparable functions. Cookies can be "first-party" (set by Kinetry) or "third-party" (set by a service provider), and either "session" (removed when you close your browser or when a session expires) or "persistent" (stored until they expire or you delete them).

2. The cookies and technologies we use

Kinetry uses the following, and only the following:

  • Session cookie (strictly necessary, first-party). Purpose: keeps you signed in after you use an emailed one-time sign-in link. It is an httpOnly, cryptographically signed cookie with a built-in expiry, and it does not store a password. Rough lifetime: lasts until the session's built-in expiry or until you sign out, whichever comes first. Blocking or deleting this cookie will break sign-in — you will not be able to log in or stay logged in.
  • Terms-acceptance cookie (strictly necessary, first-party). Purpose: records that you have accepted the current version of our Terms so we do not prompt you again on every visit. Rough lifetime: persistent — it remains until you clear it or until a new version of the Terms requires re-acceptance.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile (strictly necessary, third-party — sign-up page only). Purpose: a bot-challenge that helps tell humans from automated abuse on the /signup page. It runs only during sign-up and may place a short-lived Cloudflare token or cookie limited to completing that challenge. It is privacy-preserving and is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
  • Sentry error diagnostics (functional, third-party). Purpose: when a page encounters an error, your browser sends a diagnostic beacon to Sentry so we can find and fix the problem. It captures technical error details only. It is not session replay, does not collect personal data by default, and is not an advertising tracker.
  • Plausible analytics (optional, cookieless — currently disabled). If we enable privacy-friendly usage analytics, we use Plausible, which sets no cookies, uses no persistent identifiers, and does not track individuals across sites or over time. This is currently turned off in our production environment.
  • First-touch attribution cookie (analytics, first-party). Purpose: if you arrive from a link that carries campaign tags (UTM parameters) or from another website, we set a single first-party cookie (named `bpi_src`) that records only that source — for example, a campaign name or the referring site — so that, if you later create an account, we can understand how people find Kinetry. It contains no advertising identifier, is httpOnly, is never shared with any third party, is not used to profile you or track you across other sites, and expires after 30 days. It is not set on a direct visit that carries no campaign tag or external referrer. This is analytics, not advertising, and you can block or delete it at any time (see §5) with no effect on the Service.

3. Payments happen on Stripe's pages

When you start a checkout or open the billing portal, we redirect you to Stripe's hosted pages. Card details are entered on Stripe's own systems and never touch Kinetry's servers or web pages. On those pages Stripe may set its own cookies (for example, to help prevent payment fraud), governed by Stripe's own cookie and privacy notices. Kinetry does not set or read those cookies.

4. What we do NOT use

To be clear, Kinetry does not use:

  • Advertising, ad-targeting, or ad-measurement cookies of any kind;
  • Third-party tracking pixels or web beacons for advertising or profiling;
  • Session-replay or screen-recording tools;
  • A third-party chat widget;
  • Cross-site or cross-device tracking of individuals.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We show a brief cookie notice to visitors that summarizes the technologies above and links to this Cookie Policy and our Privacy Policy. Because we use only strictly necessary and diagnostic technologies plus the single first-party analytics cookie described above — and no advertising or cross-site trackers — that notice is informational: it is not an advertising-consent gate, and there is nothing sold or shared for you to opt out of. The Terms-acceptance step recorded elsewhere in the Service is separate from this cookie notice and is not consent to advertising trackers.

5. How to control cookies

You can view, block, or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers also offer a "clear browsing data" control and a private or incognito mode. The exact steps vary by browser — see your browser's help pages for details.

Please note:

  • Blocking the session cookie will prevent you from signing in or staying signed in — the Service will not work.
  • Clearing the Terms-acceptance cookie will cause us to prompt you to accept the Terms again.
  • Blocking the sign-up bot-challenge may prevent you from creating an account.

The only non-essential cookie we set is the first-party analytics cookie described in §2; you can block or delete it (and any other cookie) through your browser settings as described above, with no effect on how the Service works. Because we use no advertising or cross-site trackers, there is no third-party advertising opt-out to manage.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use or in the law. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective" date above and, where appropriate, provide notice as described in our Terms.
