Free tools for your AI assistant
Three tools any AI assistant that supports remote MCP connectors can use, without a Kinetry account. They help your assistant set up a 30-day follow-up on someone on your team, starting from what you've actually seen.
The three tools
Picks the defined behaviors to watch behind a problem like "my best engineer's work is great, but nobody trusts his updates," with each one's published definition and a sign you can watch for.
You rate one person, by role, on what you've actually seen, using the same scale Kinetry uses. You get back a dated starting point: any patterns, the gaps in what you've seen, a conversation outline, and the date to rate again.
A 30-day plan: a starting point, one commitment per behavior marked kept or not at your 1:1s, and the date to rate the same behaviors again. You carry it out and keep the copy.
They work from the published definitions of Kinetry's 24 behaviors. They don't score anyone, and they aren't designed for pay, promotion, or termination decisions.
Getting your assistant to use it
In our tests in Claude, plain requests for advice were answered without the tools, and a request to track something over the next month used them. So ask for the follow-up, not the advice: instead of “How do I know if my coaching is working?”, try “Help me track whether her delegation improves over the next month” or “Set up a 30-day follow-up on whether his updates get clearer.” The tools don't track anything for you. They give you a starting point, a plan, and the date to look again, and you keep the copy.
To start it yourself in Claude, choose + (or type /), then Connectors, then Kinetry, then Rate what you've actually seen or Follow up on one person for 30 days, and describe the problem in a sentence. Or begin your message with “Use Kinetry”.
Things to ask your assistant
- “My best engineer does great work, but nobody follows his updates and sales stopped trusting his estimates. Help me track whether his communication improves over the next month.”
- “Two people on my team keep clashing. Help me look at each of them separately.”
- “Help me prep a 1:1 with a direct report.”
- “Help me track whether my coaching on delegation is working over the next month.”
Add it to your assistant
The address is:
https://kinetry.ai/api/mcp
- Claude: open Customize, then Connectors, choose Add, then Add custom connector, and paste the address. If it asks about sign-in, choose No sign in. Claude's Free plan allows one custom connector. On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds it under Organization settings, then Connectors.
- Other assistants: any assistant that supports remote MCP servers can use the same address. No sign-in is needed.
- Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http kinetry https://kinetry.ai/api/mcp
What's sent, and what's kept
- The tools ask only for: a problem type, an optional short description, a role (like "direct report"), behavior names, ratings from a fixed scale, and for follow-up plans, who commits and how often you meet. Everything except the short description comes from a fixed list.
- The tools never ask for anyone's name. Leave names out of the description too.
- Apart from the problem type, nothing you enter is stored, and nothing is used to train AI. We keep one usage line per call: the time, the tool, which assistant it came from, how far it got, and the problem type, if any.
- Your conversation stays with your assistant. Kinetry receives the tool inputs, plus standard technical details your assistant's platform may add on its own, like the app's name, your language setting, or a coarse location. We use those only to tell which assistant called, and we don't store them.
